Kirsten Becker’s story is full of determination, excitement, and a never-ending desire to make her dreams come true. Kirsten was born in Durban, South Africa. As a child, she was very interested in the world and wanted to make her own way. She had a spirit of exploration and an adventurous nature from a young age that would lead her in real life and in her writing. She showed her daring side when she was only 13 years old and sailed across the Atlantic Ocean with her parents and siblings. It made her feel more confident and changed the way she thought about life.
Kirsten’s early years were full of trips around the world. She has lived in South Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and now the United States. Her two boys, Evan (27) and David (23), are her pride and joy. She now lives in Florida with her beloved chihuahua, Ava Chi. Kirsten loves flying airplanes, which she turned into a second job after years of passion, and watching the Florida Gators play football when she’s not working. She also gives a lot of her time to helping no-kill animal centers, which shows how much she values kindness and helping others.
School was an important part of Kirsten’s life. She learned early on that commitment and hard work can pay off. She was the valedictorian of her high school class. Kirsten didn’t go to a regular college, but she kept improving her skills through professional development. She got her license as a real estate broker and became a certified commercial pilot. As a child, she also loved sports. She did very well in track and field and played netball for Durban & Districts, which taught her control, teamwork, and resilience.
Since 2001, Kirsten has been a real estate agent. She started out at a business brokerage and quickly found her niche. She earned a name for honesty and excellence over the years, which helped her become a successful real estate broker and start Tampa Bay Real Estate Company. She has bought land worth more than $100 million and built a mixed-use project on 330 acres of land on State Road 52 in San Antonio. These are big steps forward that show how visionary she is, how good she is at negotiating, and how dedicated she is to success. She has also worked in private fixed-base operations and the fitness and nutrition business, showing how flexible she is and how willing to take risks.
The thing Kirsten loves most about her job is that it gives her freedom. The fact that her hard work and dedication are closely linked to her success makes her happy. One of the most important things she’s learned is to be kind to everyone and never judge someone by their appearance. Often, the most humble people are the most successful. “If it were easy, everyone would do it,” is her advice to younger people, which shows what she believes in. Keep going in the same direction, and always be honest and open. Be kind. Everyone has a story.
Kirsten is still building on her reputation as a recognized pilot and real estate broker. As she thinks about the next part of her life, eventually retirement, she is still proud of the life she’s built: one based on hard work, love, and the courage to dream big.
